Hey Divers & watch lovers, let me tell you about my Cressi Cartesio.

When I first saw it in my local divestore at ScubaholiX I fell in love with it looking at the bronze frame. Immediately a Mark V diving helmet came to my mind ... and someday that will be mine ... But we will come to that in a different blog, lightyears ahead.

So the Cartesio speaks: "I am diving gear !" And it truly is. I won't give you a detailed dive into all features - refer to the Cressi homepage for detailed information - I just want to point out my thoughts and experience with this beauty.

The Cratesio uses the Cressi rgbm algorithm and is cabable of air, nitrox and multi gas (gas 1 21%-50% ppO2 ; gas 2 21%-99% ppO2) everything you basically need for recreational diving or perhaps to make the first step into Tec. diving.

The high contrast display is easy to read while diving and can be lit up.

I appreciate the simplicity of the display. Everything is in place it's easy to navigate both on the surface and during the dive. Deco information is simple and clear and you can add deep stop and ascend warning. You can choose between 3 safety profiles and an altitude configuration for mountain lake diving,

The mineral glas is sturdy as rock and not a single scratch in over 1 year, and this is my day & night watch 24/7 and counts ~100 dives and still looks like day 1.

It's battery powered - still on my first cell - and if it runs out of power, of course it will tell you early on, you can change it by yourself quick and easy between dives ( so as long as you have a spare battery with you ;-) )

The Cartesio has an integrated log book with the basic informations about your dives. But if you have the Cressi Interface (sold separately) you can connect it to your computer or smartphone and use the Cressi UCI software.

In my Case I use MacDive to see a detailed dive profile with ppO2, temperature, ascent speed and to log my dives.

At first I considered it as a downside not to have an integrated bluetooth. But when you see it from another perspective it makes quite sense. If you are not interested in detailed profiles than you safe some money and get a beautiful looking dive watch, that has all it takes for a good price-perfomance ratio.

For the more ambitious diver spend the extra money and get the Cressi bluetooth interface, which you can use on more than one Cressi dive computer.

I love to wear my Cartesio and it attracts the attention of the people around you. Now it's time to sleep and of course start the new day with set alarm clock of my Cartesio.
